How’s the Weather in Anguilla? We Guide You on the SeasonsPosted on January 23. 2015
Luckily, the weather in Anguilla plays its part by providing pleasant and bright days most of the year, with a climate that some regard as the absolute best in the Caribbean. Why is that? Well, since the island is almost completely flat, the weather in Anguilla is free from many of the tropical storms that are attracted to other islands.
Today’s post is all about the glorious details of the weather in Anguilla and the subtle differences between the seasons on the island.
While the island of Anguilla is still in off-season mode as far as crowds are concerned, the wonderful weather begins in earnest in the Fall. In fact, many people find the autumn weather in Anguilla to be the most ideal on the entire calendar. Warm days with slightly cool nights are generally the rule during this time of year. There is always the possibility of a shower popping up as October is the rainiest month of the year. But don’t let that scare you, as the rainiest month of the year is still pretty dry, with October only receiving around 6 inches in total. When it does rain, it’s typically only a quick burst followed by sunshine.
A typical Fall day will see a high temperature of around 86° F with a low of around 76° F.
Winter (December, January, February, March)
This is the high season on the island, and you will find the weather nearly picture perfect every single day. Warm and sunny days with pleasantly cool nights are the rule during the winter. These are the months when residents of northern locales flock to Anguilla en masse, and for good reason as the sun is almost constantly shining and rain is essentially non-existent. The total rainfall for these four months is around 6 inches combined, so you can definitely leave your umbrella at home.
A typical Winter day will see a high temperature of around 83 F° with a low of around 72° F.
Spring (April, May, June)
This is the start of low season on the island, and Anguilla sees a slight uptick on rain from Winter. April and June receive around 7 inches of combined rain, and temperatures slightly increase from the idyllic Winter conditions. It isn’t quite hot yet, but warm breezes hitting Anguilla do start to slowly increase the daily averages as the season progresses.
Similar to Fall, a typical Spring day will see a high temperature of around 86° F and a low of around 76° F.
Summer (July, August, September)
Summer is the low season for tourism and high season for hot weather in Anguilla. Summer starts and ends with a bang as hot winds make July the breeziest month of the year and September is the hottest month of weather in Anguilla. September still isn’t scorching though, as island breezes are still around to cool things down a bit. This is still probably the only time of the year when you aren’t going to need a sweater in the evening. Make not that this season is also the start of Hurricane season.
A typical Summer day will see a high temperature of around 89-90° F and a low of around 79-80° F.
