Half of the private Peter Island is deserted, making visitors feel as though they are truly on their own slice of tropical paradise. Many of the facilities available here are on offer at the island’s only major resort, but many come here even if only for the day to experience the beautiful beach and calm reefs for which the island is so famous.
A balmy and subtropical climate is the year-round norm for Peter Island, whose average temperatures range from 77-83 degrees. Evenings can sometimes be a little chilly, but temperatures for both day and night vary very little between summer and winter. Hurricane season can occur between the months of June and November, which also tend to be the rainiest months, but rainfall is usually lower than 50 inches of rain per year on average.
Peter Island is in the Atlantic Time Zone which is UTC-4. The island does not observe Daylight Saving Time.
