A privately owned island and wildlife sanctuary, Guana Island is a secluded retreat of a special kind. Visitors come here looking for solace, to immerse themselves in nature and to share the tropical beaches with friendly local wildlife. A landscape of mountains, lush valleys and powder sand beaches make Guana Island the perfect Caribbean vacation, but it definitely comes with a price tag.
A balmy and subtropical climate is the year-round norm for Guana Island, whose average temperatures range from 77-83 degrees. Evenings can sometimes be a little chilly, but temperatures for both day and night vary very little between summer and winter. Hurricane season can occur between the months of June and November, which also tend to be the rainiest months, but rainfall is usually lower than 50 inches of rain per year on average.
Guana Island is in the Atlantic Time Zone which is UTC-4. The island does not observe Daylight Saving Time.
There are seven white sand and coral beaches on Guana Island, all primarily for use by the island’s resort hotel guests, the most beautiful considered to be White Bay Beach.
