Overview

A mountain town situated in the southwest of Puerto Rico, Adjuntas overlooks the Toro Negro Forest Reserve: home of the highest mountain peaks in the center of the island. Nicknamed “The Switzerland of Puerto Rico”, Adjuntas offers visitors leafy green surroundings and relatively cooler weather than the rest of the island.

Weather

There is no bad time to visit Adjuntas as it benefits from a year round tropical climate with slightly cooler temperatures than the rest of the island. Average daily high temperatures generally reach between 70 degrees and 83 degrees. The rainy season occurs from April to November although showers are often short. Hurricane season usually runs from June to November although the island is rarely affected by hurricanes.

Time Zone

The time zone in Adjuntas is Atlantic Standard Time (UTC-4). Daylight Savings Time is not observed.
